Wedding Invitation Wording
Wedding invitation wording
Good invitation wording tells guests who is getting married, when, where and how to reply, in a tone that sounds like you.
Start with the hosts
Traditional invitations open with the families: “With the blessings of our parents” works for both sides. Modern couples often host themselves and say “Together with our families”.
Say the essentials plainly
Include both names, the date, the start time, the venue and the city. Put the ceremony first and list other functions below it.
Add a line for RSVP
Tell guests how to reply and by when, for example “Please reply by 15 November using the link below.”
Put it into your wedding story
Add your own words to a template and share the link with guests.
